My Top 5 Fragrances for your Wedding Day

Now.. I’m a ‘bit’ of a fragrance whore. I should go to an AA meeting once a week (aftershaves anonymous) so I thought i’d put a little blog together for you Bride & Grooms who are unsure of what to wear on your wedding day!

Amazing longevity and projects incredibly too.

Price range between £50 - £100 is an absolute winner.

Dior Sauvage Elixir -

If Sexy & Classy Had A Baby

Everyone knows or has heard of Sauvage. The annoying fragrance that everyone seems to wear. Let me introduce you to its sophisticated brother, Elixir. A tailor made, lavender essence and a rich blend of woods forms this signature, powerful, lavish and captivating trail which will leave your spouse wanting to rip their knickers off quicker than you can say ‘I do’. Insane longevity & projection is BEASTLY. Stepping up the price range here, £100-£140 for a 60ml bottle.

Penhaligon’s Halfeti -

This Is Love In A Bottle

Now if luxury & sophistication is what you are after, then look no more. Halfeti will have you smelling like the Prince of Dubai and feeling like a a millionaire. An intoxicating, mysterious fragrance with hints of grapefruit, our, spices & rose will have you tangling in the moonlight. Lasts forever, is a more subtle projection. At £110 for 30ml or £210 for 100ml, it’s a big price to pay, but will reap the rewards.

A Perfume For The Ages

This is Summer paradise in a bottle. An absolute masterpiece. A fresh, warm, spicy, citrusy haven, that everyone will wonder where it is coming from. Pure liquid gold, with hints of sicilian orange, ginger, cinnamon, tea & oud. With a price tag of over £200, you have to be a real fragrance lover to stomach this, but my oh my… It is incredible, lasts forever, and you can smell it from the next county.

Price ranges from £30-£50 so a definite option to consider! Projects beautifully & lasts for ages!

Freedom To Live Everything To The Full

This intoxicating floral masterpiece from YSL will leave you feeling elegant and smelling fine. Hitting you with a delicious amber & lavender sensation with a sweet musky undertone, this is a definite choice to consider. Reasonable price range too, £40-£80 depending on bottle size! Lasts well over 12 hours, and has a gentle projection.

Dior Miss Dior - A Colourful Floral Bouquet

Now, if sexy & sophisticated is your cup of tea, then this is a must consider! I’m biased to this, as my wife wore this on our wedding day BUT! This perfume comes alive with notes of rose, iris & lily of the valley. With a sexy undertone of vanilla & honey, your spouse will surely be a hot mess by the end of the day. Lasts over 10 hours and doesn’t over powerfully project. Pushing the price range up with this one, £60-£140 depending on size & website.

Penhaligon’s Luna - The Moon Goddess Bath

Now then, here we have a soothing yet seductive fragrance that shines with a citrus & orange burst, jasmine, rose and a musky undertone. Penhaligon’s creates fragrances for the Royal Family, so you are sure to smell like a luxury goddess, which ever scent you go with from here. Subtle, elegant projection and lasts all day. Pricey though, between £80 - £180 depending on size!

Parfums De Marly Meliora -

Is There A Fruity Heaven?

So now we have a fruity musky explosion. Remember flicking through the Avon catalogue as a kid, and being overwhelmed by the elite mixture of scents, samples & bubble baths and thinking, now this is heaven. Well, now there’s the perfect perfume for that, and it is incredible. Will set you back over £200 but my is it worth it. Lasts all day, projection is stunning.

So hopefully this has given you some help with choosing a fragrance, or may have even made it worse… Whoops! But a little tip for you, if you already have chosen you signature scent for the day, make it last a few hours longer by applying a subtle layer of moisturiser before applying your fragrance to ensure your are still smelling beautiful, long into the night!
